Pixel sharpness may well be the reason for one to upgrade his camera to the Nikon D5100, as one seek continuous improvement to the quality of images captured with his gears.

With an identical lens, one can clearly see that Nikon does indeed seek a tangible image differentiation from each of her DSLR product, beginning from the more serious compacts like the P7000, all the way to what I am familiar with – Nikon D700. The image quality is visibly more superior as you shoot with each higher-end model.

This somewhat differ from some other manufacturers where a single sensor is being deployed on her entire range of DSLR, with no visible difference in their output! In all, I am glad to say the newer Nikon D5100 does indeed deliver much better pixel sharpness compared to the D3100, while the D300s still top those delivered by the newer Nikon D7000.

The introduction of 14-bit RAWs is also a big welcome for folks seeking to retain more details in the shadows, while the most interesting highlight of the D5100 still lies in her hi-res articulating screen for fresher perspectives.

Now, if it ain’t too much to ask and afford, get the Nikon D5100. It is much more worth it to begin with…
