Phuket In a Nutshell!

If you are into betting against the odds of weather (like me) and a no-frill price point to visit Phuket, I would recommend you to do what I just did. Yes, it was raining but the play and experience with a good mix of both rain and sea sure makes it a rather different trip altogether.

I can still recall sitting on the front deck of the Phi Phi Cruiser, enjoying the rather choppy waves as she sped towards the islands, with the Nikon 1 heavily splashed (the hotel tower came in really handy to save the camera!). Folks there are polite mostly, where bargaining becomes a mandatory routine if you are serious about shopping there.

The rain came in torrents, and works within an unpredictable cycle. So, a disposable rain coat should be useful in your bag, to protect your non-waterproof camera to say the least. Food is cheap but transportation, expensive.

In short, a short break that I would do once every now and then…
